A card-rip site — also called a digital pack opener or “rip” site — sells a digital pack that, when opened, reveals a real, professionally graded trading card (a PSA, CGC or BGS slab) pulled from the operator's insured vault. Instead of buying a specific card, you pay for a randomized shot at one: the same appeal as ripping a physical pack, except the card is already graded, and you can ship it, keep it vaulted, or sell it back for its market value.

Think of it as pack-opening upgraded: the thrill of the reveal, but with real graded cards you can keep, ship, or sell — no hunting for singles, no waiting on grading. Because the cards and the odds are real, an independent, data-led guide helps you get the most out of every rip.

Every rip site runs the same loop: fund an account, choose a pack at a set price, and open it to reveal one graded card. What differs is the exit — ship the physical slab, leave it vaulted, or take an instant buyback where the operator repurchases the card at a fixed percentage of its market value.

The odds are a value distribution: each pack lists the chance of pulling a card in each price band. The figure worth knowing is the buyback rate — sell-back typically runs 80–90%, and card values are the operator's or a third party's estimate — so what to focus on is the value you actually keep after cashing out, or the slab you ship home.
